Energy Transfer signs on as jersey patch sponsor for the Texas Rangers

As part of a growing trend in Major League Baseball, the Texas Rangers have announced Energy Transfer as their first jersey patch sponsor in a new multiyear deal. The Dallas-based energy infrastructure company has been a sponsor of the Rangers since 2018 and will now have their logo featured on a circular patch on the right sleeve of all six Rangers jerseys.

The patch will debut at the Rangers’ season opener against the Cubs at Globe Life Field. This new jersey patch sponsorship is just one aspect of Energy Transfer’s partnership with the Rangers, which also includes an expanded marketing presence that includes ballpark signage and radio network inventory.

The circle patch will be in Rangers blue on the home jerseys and in white on the road jerseys, highlighting the continued integration of sponsorships in professional sports and the importance of brand visibility for companies like Energy Transfer. The partnership underscores how sports teams can provide corporate partners with unique opportunities to reach a large and engaged fan base.

As the Rangers kick off their season with their new jersey patch sponsor, fans can expect to see more collaborations between sports teams and corporate partners in the future. The growing trend of jersey patch deals in MLB shows that these types of partnerships are becoming increasingly popular among teams and brands alike.
