Health Department and Wegmans Partner to Host 2 Event

The Hopewell Township Health Department and Wegmans are joining forces to host two shingles vaccine clinics at Pennington Borough Municipal Hall on April 17 and June 19, 2024. These clinics will offer adults aged 50 years and older the opportunity to receive the recommended two doses of the shingles vaccine, protecting them against the disease and its complications. Additionally, individuals aged 19 years and older with weakened immune systems are advised to receive two doses of the vaccine due to their increased risk.

Those interested in getting vaccinated can sign up for one or both clinics. It is important to note that individuals who only receive one dose at these clinics will need to visit a local pharmacy, such as Wegmans, to obtain their second shot. For more information on the shingles vaccine and its benefits, please visit the CDC website at cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/shingles/.
