Hamas asserts that three additional hostages were killed during Israel’s rescue mission.

The Al Qasam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced the death of three hostages during a rescue operation in Gaza that freed four captives. Among them was a North American citizen. The group did not disclose the identities of the deceased or provide further details. The deaths occurred during an Israeli military operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in over 270 Palestinian deaths and injuries to nearly 680 others, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.

In response to their loss, Al Qasam released a video demanding the release of their prisoners in exchange for the hostages they hold. The Israeli Army confirmed carrying out attacks on military targets to achieve success in the rescue mission. Among those rescued were Noah Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, who had been captive for 246 days.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to result in casualties and challenges for both sides. Since the war began, only one truce agreement has been reached – a one-week agreement in late November that resulted in the release of 105 hostages in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners. Other hostages have been rescued or released by both sides, but many still remain captive.
