Joshua Zirkzee’s future still uncertain as Arsenal and Man Utd continue to watch Bologna striker despite AC Milan’s keen interest

Arsenal and Manchester United are both showing interest in Bologna’s 23-year-old striker Joshua Zirkzee. The Premier League’s summer transfer window opens on June 14, with a deadline of August 30 at 11pm UK time in England and midnight in Scotland. Zirkzee is one of the clubs’ top targets for the upcoming season, and they are closely monitoring his progress. AC Milan is also interested in signing Zirkzee, but no agreement has been reached yet.

Zirkzee has a release clause of £34m (€40m) in his contract, which leaves two years remaining. Arsenal is looking to sign a young striker to develop, moving their focus away from other players like Alexander Isak from Newcastle and Ivan Toney from Brentford. Juventus is also interested in Zirkzee but needs to sell a striker first before pursuing him. The Premier League has aligned its transfer window dates with other major European leagues, meaning that Deadline Day falls on August 30th. Discussions with leagues in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France helped establish these dates.
