New Cancer Center Opened by Franciscan Health in West Central Indiana

Franciscan Health Cancer Center Lafayette is now open, offering comprehensive cancer services in a single convenient location. The center, which is the largest of its kind in Tippecanoe County, features state-of-the-art technology and a range of services including screenings, diagnostics, and treatments.

Terry Wilson, president and CEO of Franciscan Health Western Indiana, emphasized the importance of the new building and updated technology in providing top-notch care to cancer patients in the community. Wilson hopes that consolidating services under one roof will lead to exceptional care and service for patients and their families.

With a $43 million investment, the three-story, 68,000-square-foot facility is now operational. Maria Vought, director of the oncology service line at the center, highlighted the impact of reducing travel time for patients, making cancer services more accessible. Being able to receive treatment locally also allows patients to maintain closer connections with their families during their care.

In addition to medical services, the center offers support services such as financial aid, transportation assistance
