Laredo Health Department recommends getting vaccinated for respiratory illnesses

As the peak season for respiratory illnesses comes to a close, the Laredo Health Department is urging the community to remain vigilant. Although flu and other infections levels are currently low in the area, it is crucial to stay up-to-date with vaccines to safeguard yourself and those around you.

According to Jaime Perez of the Laredo Health Department, getting vaccinated is key in preventing illness during this time. The RSV vaccine, recommended for children aged 0 to 24 months, will be available until the end of the month. Additionally, the flu vaccine, which is suitable for both adults and children, will be available until June 30th.
