ARPA-H is looking for candidates to apply for the HEROES model to enhance community health

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA-H) has released a draft solicitation for the Health Care Rewards to Achieve Improved Outcomes (HEROES) program. This innovative program aims to evaluate a new payment model that incentivizes community-based interventions to enhance health outcomes in a specific geographic area.

Under the HEROES program, participating entities such as non-profit organizations and consortiums will receive direct payments to address and reduce specific health harms within their designated area. This initiative seeks to promote collaboration and innovation in healthcare delivery to ultimately improve the well-being of individuals in the community.

Interested applicants must submit abstracts by June 17, with a final solicitation expected to be released by April 22. To learn more about the HEROES program and its objectives, individuals are encouraged to register for upcoming webinars scheduled for March 26 and April 2. These webinars will provide detailed information about the program, its goals, and how interested parties can participate in this groundbreaking initiative.
