Bango Honors Champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Racine’s Julian Thomas Elementary School fifth-grade students were recently recognized for their participation in a two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair, which began on February 1st, saw students form teams to work on projects related to clean air pollution concepts. Entries were judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and the creativity of their presentation.

The winners of the Fresh Air Science Fair were announced at an award ceremony held on March 27th, where prizes were awarded. Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers, made a special appearance at the event. The first-place team members received three tickets to the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams received Bucks merchandise as their prize.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is a collaborative effort between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. The success of this year’s fair is a testament to the hard work and creativity of all participating students. Congratulations to all winners for their outstanding achievements!
