Cleveland Browns sign former Ohio State All-American

In 2023, the Cleveland Browns signed former Ohio State guard Wyatt Davis, who was previously with the Minnesota Vikings. During his time at Ohio State from 2017-2020, Davis was a standout player on the offensive line and earned the title of unanimous All-American selection after the 2020 season. However, despite being drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Vikings, Davis struggled to make an impact and was eventually cut after appearing in only six games during his rookie season.

In 2022, Davis had brief stints with the New Orleans Saints, the Arizona Cardinals, and the New York Giants, but did not see any game time. The Browns, who already have strong depth at the guard position with recent additions, will have Davis compete for the third-string job. However, due to missing a year and facing tough competition from other players on the team, Davis will need to work hard to secure a spot on the roster.

With this addition, the Browns now have six former Buckeyes on their team, including cornerback Denzel Ward, center Luke Wypler, offensive tackle Dawand Jones, safety Ronnie Hickman and defensive lineman Mike Hall Jr. For more Ohio State news and updates follow us on Twitter @BuckeyesWire and like our Facebook page for ongoing coverage.
