Iowa Sun limits Caitlin Clark to 10 points, bounces back from initial defeat with victory against Fever

The Indiana Fever has been struggling with poor performance this season, and their latest loss to the Connecticut Sun was no different. Despite reports that Caitlin Clark was snubbed from the USA women’s basketball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Fever did not see any improvement in their game.

In her last game, Clark scored 30 points and hit seven 3-pointers, but against Connecticut, she struggled and finished with only 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting. This marked one of her lowest scoring totals of her rookie season, and she left the game in the third quarter after drawing her fourth foul.

On the other hand, DiJonai Carrington led the Sun with 22 points, while Alyssa Thomas grabbed 18 rebounds and DeWanna Bonner scored 17 points. Bonner also moved into 10th place on the WNBA’s all-time 3-point list. Despite the crowd’s chants for Clark, the Fever could not rally, with Aliyah Boston scoring 14 points and Lexie Hull adding 10.

With this loss, the Fever fell to 3-10 for the season and 2-5 on the road. They have lost all three games against Connecticut this season and will host the Atlanta Dream next. Meanwhile, the Sun improved to 10-1 and will face the Chicago Sky next on the road.
