X Corp. and Adeia to Resolve Dispute on Streaming Technology Patent

Adeia Inc., a company owned by Elon Musk, and X Corp. have reached a settlement in their lawsuit over streaming-technology patents. The lawsuit involved X Corp. seeking declaratory judgment that it did not infringe on Adeia’s patents, despite Adeia insisting that they had not threatened litigation.

The US District Court in the Northern District of California, presided over by Judge Trina L. Thompson, put a stay on the case until the end of the month. However, the judge also stated that she would not cancel future court dates until a final settlement agreement was submitted for her approval.

On June 7, the court posted an order summary for the case on its electronic docket. Adeia, previously known by another name, and X Corp. will now work towards finalizing the terms of the settlement agreement.
