The much-anticipated T20 Cricket World Cup match between India and Pakistan is currently taking place in Nassau County, with about 34,000 fans in attendance at Eisenhower Park. Some fans have paid thousands of dollars for tickets to witness the rivalry unfold on the cricket field. Law enforcement is also present at the event to ensure a high level of security, with patrols on the ground and in the air.

News 12’s Carmen Grant is on the scene at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, where fans have gathered for a free watch party. With security measures in place across both locations, fans can enjoy the match between India and Pakistan with peace of mind. In addition to the match at Eisenhower Park, Nassau police have set up security checkpoints to maintain order at Cedar Creek Park.

Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder stated, “This is by far the largest security event we’ve ever had here,” highlighting the magnitude of the event and the measures being taken to ensure the safety of all attendees. Homeland Security and the NYPD are offering assistance to Nassau police to ensure safety at the match.
