Rebeca Andrade to Make Debut at 2024 FIG World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey

Rebeca Andrade, Brazil’s most decorated gymnast ever, is set to make her Olympic season debut at the World Challenge Cup in Antalya, Turkey on Friday (29 March). The 24-year-old will be competing on the uneven bars, with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games just around the corner.

Andrade has had an incredible career so far, with numerous accomplishments under her belt. She made history at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by winning vault gold and all-around silver. She followed up with a gold in the 2022 World all-around competition, a first World team medal for Brazil, and a five-medal haul at the 2023 Worlds.

Joining Andrade in Antalya will be other gymnastics stars such as Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands, Melanie de Jesus dos Santos of France, and Kaylia Nemour of Algeria. Andrade’s Brazilian teammates Flavia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira, and Jade Barbosa will also be competing.

In the women’s field, eight-time Olympian Oksana Chusovitina will be competing on all four apparatus as she prepares for the Asian Championships, which will be her final opportunity to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games.

On the men’s side, Olympic parallel bars bronze medallist Ferhat Arican will be competing alongside his teammates Ibrahim Colak and Adem Asil. Colak won still rings gold at the 2019 World Championship while Asil took home still rings gold at last year’s edition of this event.
