Confirmed: BBC’s Race Across the World will return with new route and date

The highly anticipated new season of Race Across the World is set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday 10 April. This BAFTA-award winning series will see five duos embarking on a challenging race across Eastern Asia, covering a distance of 15,000 kilometers through several countries.

The teams participating in this season include two mother and daughter duos, best friends, a married couple, and a brother and sister. Stripped of their smartphones, internet access, and bank cards, the competitors will be pushed to their limits both physically and emotionally. They will navigate through six seas and eight borders, braving the volcanic ring of fire to reach the finish line on the beautiful Indonesian island of Lombok.

Race Across the World is an 8-episode series produced by Studio Lambert for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Commissioned by Catherine Catton and overseen by BBC Commissioning Editor Michael Jochnowitz, the show is executive produced by Tim Harcourt, Lucy Shepherd, and Stephen Day. Maria Kennedy serves as the line producer, with Kezia Walker as the production executive, Charlotte Woolley as the series editor, and Charlotte Jacobs as the series producer for Studio Lambert.

Don’t miss out on this thrilling adventure that will test your endurance both physically and mentally! Tune in to watch how these competitors overcome their fears and push themselves beyond their limits in order to reach their ultimate goal of crossing Eastern Asia in record time! The first episode airs on Wednesday 10 April at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
