Arizona’s Health Services Department Successfully Retains National Accreditation

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) has once again been recognized for its national accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board. This recognition is a testament to ADHS’ commitment to exceptional standards in public health and their dedication to continuously evolve, improve, and advance practices that benefit the communities they serve.

ADHS Executive Deputy Director, Jennie Cunico, expressed her pride in this achievement, stating that it is a reflection of the department’s unwavering commitment to providing quality services. She added that ADHS is honored to be among the more than 400 health departments across the nation that have achieved this status, and specifically mentioned Maricopa, Mohave, Pima, Yavapai counties and Pascua Yaqui Health Services Division as fellow accredited health departments in Arizona.

Maintaining this national accreditation allows ADHS to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards in public health and providing quality services to the communities they serve. As one of the largest health departments in Arizona, ADHS plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being of millions of residents throughout the state. With this accreditation, ADHS can continue to provide exceptional care and support to those who need it most.
