Danish Prime Minister Cancels Electoral Events Due to “Mild Whiplash” Following Attack

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, has canceled all events for the European elections scheduled for Saturday after being a victim of an attack last Friday. The incident has left Frederiksen feeling “altered” according to a statement collected by the ‘Jyllands-Posten’.

Frederiksen was attacked while walking in her home town of Copenhagen last Friday. According to witnesses, the attacker pushed the Prime Minister who lost her balance but did not fall to the ground. As a precaution, Frederiksen will not attend the events scheduled for Saturday in various areas around Copenhagen.

Despite the incident, Frederiksen remains dedicated to her duties as the head of the Danish Government and will continue to fulfill her responsibilities while ensuring her security is not compromised. The attack has brought attention to the security measures surrounding political figures and the importance of ensuring their safety during public appearances.

The perpetrator, a 39-year-old man, has been arrested and will appear in court on Saturday. According to latest medical report picked up by national media, Frederiksen suffered “mild whiplash”. However she is expected to make a full recovery soon.
