Alabama secures commitment from 3-star IOL Mal Waldrep for the class of 2025

On Tuesday evening, the Alabama Crimson Tide received positive news on the recruiting trail with the commitment of 2025 three-star interior offensive lineman Mal Waldrep. Waldrep is the second offensive lineman to commit to Alabama in as many days, with the other being 2025 four-star Michael Carroll. During his official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend, Waldrep made his decision and chose Alabama over programs like Auburn, Clemson, and Tennessee.

At 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, Waldrep is expected to play the guard position at the college level, as recruited by the Alabama coaching staff. Hailing from Central-Phenix City High School in Alabama, Waldrep has an opportunity to compete for early playing time with Alabama likely losing both of its guards to the 2025 NFL draft. His commitment helps bolster Alabama’s offensive line haul for the 2025 recruiting class.

The latest news regarding the Alabama football program and its recruiting efforts will continue to be covered by Roll Tide Wire. Stay tuned for more updates on new commitments and developments in the Crimson Tide’s recruiting efforts.
